The stories in his books provide an opportunity for educators, parents, and adults to start a conversation and to really dig deep into social issues that may be difficult to discuss. Race, discrimination, and bullying are issues that we must learn to address as a society. It can be difficult to have these conversations as most of us do not always know how to start.
